Interviews of representatives from local environmental non-profits. Suggestions for volunteering, hiking, birding and being in nature here.
Patrick explains that “my life mission is to understand, celebrate and protect the diversity of life on planet earth and share my enthusiasm, knowledge and love of nature with others. On this show I will express this mission through interviews of naturalists, biologists, botanists, birders, executive directors of local non-profits with the intention of revealing our planetary situation as it is playing out locally. I am devoted to the wonder and diversity of our region and have benefited enormously from the many years I have volunteered for environmental non-profits. We have here an incredible variety of them working to preserve, protect and expand open space. They will have a voice through The River’s Mouth. From Gualala to San Pablo Bay wetlands, from Goat Rock to Sugarloaf Ridge we have unsurpassed ecological richness. Let’s enter into a vibrant conversation about what needs to be done and what speaks to our love in this landscape.”
